Flat-pack day

After coffee and croissants, MrM set off for a day's fishing in the Dales.

Far too hot and humid for gardening so, for me, it was flat-pack day, putting together the items we collected from IKEA a coupe of days ago. Took a while to assemble the the bedside table in the Blip, but it was worth it. It's now in place, and the coffee table that's been acting as my bedside table is in the living room.

The nesting tables and stools for the spare room were next on the list.  Relatively simple to put together. Finally, two small shelves, also intended for the spare room. Tomorrow's job will be re-organising the spare room,  so that I can use my big computer monitor on the newly assembled table.

MrM returned earlier than expected (much too hot, and far too little water in the rivers, for fishing), bringing fish & chips for tea. After we'd eaten, he disappeared again to a music session in Pontefract, while I spent a couple of hours in the garden, pruning, topping up the water in the pond (a tiny frog seemed most appreciative), and watering. A pleasant way to finish off the day.
