One year on

It is exactly one year ago today that we entered a new Carolean era when Queen Elizabeth II died and her son became Charles III.  The new king and his wife are following the late Queen's tradition of not overtly celebrating as this day marks not only his accession to the throne, but but also the passing of a much loved parent.
Meanwhile, back at our rather more modest abode, the sun continued to blaze although often behind a haze , which made it all the more humid.  Early evening I photographed some of the fuchsias in one of our hanging baskets:  I haven't the energy to do more!
