Saturday Six
Out in the garden for a short period but once again too hot for me. Cleared a space at the near end of hedge, put old barrel in then moved an old pot on top.
Filled with a layer of shredded paper & watered, then a bag of compost on top. Sprinkled seeds of old mixed salad packets. What will grow will grow. Will probably clear Jan/Feb & add another layer of compost & plant something else.
Sat in the shade & looked at the box of seeds & not much can be planted at this time of the year unless you have a greenhouse. Might look at getting one of these mini greenhouse / cold frames as a possibility. But just no room for a greenhouse or potting shed.
Garden is a suntrap, too hot for me in direct sun, & in the winter the sun doesn't reach most of the garden so difficult to grow autumn to plant early spring.
The nasturtiums are not all climbing the frame & netting, and some, seen in Blip, have climbed the beech hedge & flowering on top 8ft up.
Plant flowering middle left, I got last week & is settling in continuing to flower. Label is somewhere to name.
