Globe artichoke flower

This poor plant does not like the spot we have put it in and it’s leaves look very sick no matter what we do. However it has 2 of these amazing heads and this is the first of them to actually flower. Looks like it’s being appreciated by the local insects as well as me :-)
Lovely first day of the holiday with a great cycle ride over the Tay Bridge to Fife and a meet up with P & A who were out on their bikes as well. All lunched together in Newport on Tay before all cycling back together!
