Leap of Faith

This is a Carolina Locust, also known as a grasshopper. We’ve had at least one all summer but the other day I counted three jumping and flying about the yard. I see them daily as I walk through the grass or across the stone patio. They’re always near but never too close • They’re fascinating creatures and no wonder they look prehistoric because they existed before the dinosaurs! No, really!! • Our boy, Grouch, is finally home. We both feel comforted having him here. When I saw the purple velvet pouch containing his ashes it seemed made to order, as if Fit For The King he was.
