Setting off

Not the day we’d planned - we set off to drive to Ambleside but on the way A started to feel very unwell and was sick,  we thought it was a bit of belated morning sickness and continued with our plans as she felt better, but when we got there and met up with the other car, she started feeling poorly again, we got back in our car and drove back.  Hoped she’d feel better after a lie down and a rest but she was feeling worse so contacted the first aid folk on site who were very helpful and said they’d come round to see her, but then were delayed by an accident in the pool.  We started to ring 111 to ask their advice and whilst holding for them the rest of us went for our prebooked meal, the advice was to go to the urgent care at Penrith also suggested by the first aid team, so off they went.  When they got there they didn’t have long to wait and the Dr checked her over and gave her an anti-sickness injection, then referred her to the hospital at Carlisle, where there is a maternity department, for further checks.  Fortunately all was well and they returned to us at about 1.00am.
Olivia was fine with us and her cousins while all this was going on.
