Jelly making

Today was our hottest day this summer. I didn’t look to see how hot it actually got. My app said 27c and the news said some parts would reach 30c.
In the afternoon we went to Hannah’s to prepare and cook down the fruit we picked yesterday. It was quite therapeutic. And the ice cream soda that Lizzie made us was perfect. After we sat in the back yard and chatted while having another drink.
A spot of Morrisons shopping then home. I sat out the back and did a bit more crochet.
There was a group going to Burnsall for a swim and bat watch which I really wanted to go to but I was just so tired. The thought of rushing round getting ready, walking the dogs at some point, squeezing in a meal and also doing some school work… I just couldn’t fit it all in and didn’t have the energy to try.
So…I stayed home and enjoyed my dinner.
Walking the dogs this evening (8:30) was so lovely. I was still warm just wearing my sleeveless T-shirt and shorts and my zero sandals. It reminded of walking to JoJo’s pizza place from the hospital in Tahiti before settling down for the night whither that was at the hospital or hotel (depending on who’s turn it was). - weird to think of that as just being a year ago. Mom was out of the hospital by now and we had moved into the BnB.
