Startled

I think I accidentally spooked the green heron when it was down by the water in some grass and it flew up into some branches nearby. The feathers on his head are sticking up whereas they are normally flat and his beak is open. He looked around nervously for a short while and then flew off.

Although this is a cropped image, I think it worked out quite nicely for once.

Extra: Red Eye. An immature male wood duck. Just peacefully hanging out.
