Experimenting with Larry

Larry came for dinner just before 5 pm and just as the light of the day was beginning to fade.

I can hand-feed Larry, so can stand extremely close to him when taking photos and as my camera told me I should raise the flash, I thought I'd give it a go.

Little did I know that by raising the flash, the dimming natural light, combined with the camera flash, would give Larry a black background.

This photo is straight out of the camera, just resized, and I'm pretty pleased with my experiment. I hope you enjoy Larry's latest portrait too. :)
