Take Me Home
After a gorgeous gorgeous sunny day worked away, was looking forward to catching up with a few friends in Soho for Jon's 40th birthday meal (only slightly belated by comparison to many, being only 2 weeks late). Like many this was part3 of birthday celebrations and was meant to be the last - except during the course of the night we agreed to a fourth leg doing the Whisky tasting course at Vinopolis which, although I've done before, is worth a revisit every few years. And it's been a few years.
The Thai meal in Soho @SIAM was great - Jon having indulged the the oddly named Sleeping Tiger curry - I noticed a very strange East-Listening-Bossa-Nova-(Female)-Crooner-version of Country Roads playing as musac-al accompanyment to our meal. Was fascinated for a minute but then musac and conversation (and wine) did its job and I forgot all about it. I was still short of a Blip shot so took a few hurried shots through soho which if I had time and a proper camera would have supplied hours of photo opportunity between neons, rickshaws, taxi's, people dressed for a night out, warm air, the city (London) never disappoints.
Musac suddenly seemed entirely appropriate back at Surbiton waiting for Taxis.
