South Eveleigh
Met up with Serious Frolic this evening and she introduced me to the southern side of the now restored Eveleigh train workshops.
These buildings are now very much appreciated as industrial cathedrals, with vast spaces, beautiful brickwork and architecture and the wonderful light, of course.
We did discuss the fact that it was unlikely many of the workers viewed them that way.
Beautiful machinery is everywhere and when I zoomed in on the small brass plate attached to this, I can see that it says, Do Not Scrap. Property of National Trust.
Thank you Ms Frolic!
I published a set of photos from yesterday's visit to the Powerhouse, if you're interested.
