Mariner

Football mascots don’t usually travel to away matches, so it was something of an event to have Grimsby Town’s Mighty Mariner in the stadium for some pre-match shenanigans. Billy Bantam successfully repelled this penalty attempt. 

It was a very hot afternoon. Bradford had a poor first half and deservedly went a goal behind. A change of formation at the break brought a big improvement in terms of possession and pressure, but little in the way of chances until Alex Gilliad stepped up to score in the 89th minute with City’s only shot on target. 1-1 the final score.
