Cambridge American Cemetery

Had a wander around the American Cemetery this morning in the heat. The first time I've been there since I was a kid – I didn't find it as moving as I'd expected, but it's a stunning place. Moved or not, the tragic waste of young lives is still utterly horrendous. If only, as a global society, we'd learned the lessons.
