Summer Pasture
Today we had a very pleasant day out at Sizergh, which is a house and estate occupied by the Strickland family for 800 years, now under the custodianship of the National Trust. I liked the garden very much, the house less so. It was interesting but dark and gloomy, especially on a day like today which started pleasantly enough but was then punctuated by some very heavy, thundery showers.
