Looking To Edinburgh
I was tired, so slept late and then pottered around all morning doing a few chores, but it was just too hot. I got the hoover out, but was soon overheating, so gave that up! Late morning I went down into town for a few things, and came back with paninis for lunch, which we enjoyed in the garden. TT was doing a few gardening jobs, but later in the afternoon we drove over to Dirleton and went for a walk. I had in mind a walk that wasn’t too long, however we ended up walking through Archerfield Estate along to Gullane (where the beach was packed) and then back round by the coast. It was an absolutely glorious day and a lovely walk, but I was completely lacking a spring in my step. Even TT said he was weary by the time we got back to the car, which is very unlike him. We blame covid!
Once home we decided to go out for a drink at the local Tap Room. It was busy, but a couple of TT’s colleagues were there, so we got a seat at their table, and had a good chat. They live over at the coast and had to cycle home! TT and I headed to our local Indian restaurant for tea, as we had nothing in and neither of us had the energy to cook.
It was still really hot when we emerged from the restaurant and walked up the road. It’s like summer, but not a Scottish summer!
This is looking west, back towards Edinburgh and into the sun. The extra is looking east.
