Putting

With curling club membership being hit hard by Covid and then the price increase brought about by the energy crisis we have been pairing up with other clubs to help out with substitutes. Today we were invited to play in our partner club's putting competition. Around 20 of us had a great afternoon on the makeshift course in one couple's garden. A single hole surrounded by 9 tees made up the course and we played 2 rounds in groups of 4/5. A garden lawn certainly was a great leveller and the golfers didn't really have much of an advantage over the rest of us. Luckily the weather held up and we only had a small shower as we were finishing our fish and chips. I think I'll be sticking to curling.
