birdwatching
What a lovely morning and how nice to have Ali and Josie here. We all slept well, as usual Josie woke singing, but not till 8am so her mum was very happy to have such a good night's sleep. I think her antibiotics had started to kick in too by the end of the morning .
After breakfast we went down to Lidl as my supply of tissues appears to be woefully inadequate. Lidl however appears to be about to have a stocktake so only 1 type of tissues were available. They'll do .
We bought ourselves a couple of croissants while we were there. As one does.
Back home we went into the garden for our coffee and croissants. Josie fed the outdoor fish and was checking out the bird feeders when the local gang of assorted tits flew in, she was fascinated. This isn't the sharpest of the bird shots, it's a coal tit in case you wondered, but I loved her fascination and the birds didn't seem to mind her being there. After lunch she went for her nap so her mum and I did likewise, another 2.5 hours. I don't think Ali realises just how lucky she is. It can't all be down to the white noise machine.
After a lovely afternoon playing with the toy animals and cars and practising jumping they headed home again. Hopefully a couple of days off work and some sleep will see Ali through the worst of it. As I remember it was one of the most painful things I'd ever had and no pain killer seemed to touch it. There is much inhalation of steam and menthol going on.
