Ladies night

Another Saturday where I ran myself ragged fitting too many things in. I really need to take my own advice and stop trying to do too much because I just end up exhausted!

I had work at 7, and after a night of very disturbed sleep it was hard to get out of bed, especially on one of the coldest winter mornings we've had so far. We had a very busy shift, and I think both Anna and I were going a bit crazy by the end. I love Saturday shifts because they're so chilled out; this morning Anna and I spent ten minutes standing outside with one of the bakers chatting about her adorable dog (who sat there watching us) because it was quiet in the shop.

I got home from work and then rushed back out into the city to have coffee, and then came home and headed back out to Julia's for a ladies night. I'd already decided not to drink, but I was so tired that I felt tipsy and I had just as much fun as I would have if I'd had wine with the others. I got home before midnight and crashed into bed - a good end to what was actually a really great evening, despite my exhaustion.
