A Real Gift

The definition of a gift is: something voluntarily transferred by one person to another without compensation.  This surely qualifies as a gift.  I went to the dump (we call it, appropriately enough, the "transfer station") and saw a large black plastic bag in the area where people drop off things they think someone might like.  I peeked inside and I saw this beautiful quilt.  I threw it into the back seat of my car fully expecting that when I got home I'd find a big stain or hole in it, but it is in perfect condition and, judging by the label, it was expensive.  I had some old pillows that matched so now I have a new look for my bedroom for free!  Gift#252: a beautiful quilt.
