Tractor work
Today is much less humid and cooler and so one is able to breathe again! We had a few drops of rain in the night and thunder was heard in the distance.
Here T has just been harrowing a "buffer strip" round the edge of a field where there is a ditch close by as part of the Countryside Stewardship Scheme Sustainable Farming Incentive .... here he will plant grasses to help stop water run-off, which could be polluted, from going into the ditch. It will also provide a "corridor" for wild animals - although wild animals usually run straight through any crop.
This afternoon I tried to get my lawn in order where L kindly strimmed the long grass for me! There will still be a lot of raking up to do as the lawnmower has too much to mulch satisfactorily.
