Tuckered out
A fine sleep for me but not so Mr PHL who was a bit restless but put it down to drinking a bit more alcohol than he is used to normally,
Breakfasted on a roll and sausage with a fried egg which hit the spot nicely. We were packed up and on the road by just after 11 which luckily was just before the rain hit. It was wet and musty until we got down as far as Dornoch when the sky started to lighten and the afternoon wasn’t too bad when we reached Dingwall to collect Phin.
He apparently enjoyed his 2 nights in a new doggy daycare and settled well but was very pleased to see us both. Very tired too and didn’t need much walking!
We got to the campsite in Inverness and we’re set up by 3 when we headed down to the retail park to see if we could pick up soft waterproof shoes to wear on the beach. We were in luck as there was a sake in and we came away with the shoes for each of us and I managed to nab a teeshirt and plain black zip up hoodie too. I picked up the ingredients I needed to make a beef stroganoff for dinner and we headed back to the van.
My brother and his partner popped round for a coffee and a quick chat and by the time they headed off at 8 and we’d got ourselves organised neither Phin nor I could keep our eyes open so early bed and no time to blip.
Backblipped Monday for Sunday.
