Adventurous girls

Delighted to have kicked off a long term group for Adventurous Girls today.
Heavily subsidised monthly day with extra holiday sessions, for girls 10 ish + ,  catching that tricky exciting top primary low secondary age. Running for a full year in termly blocks.
The plan is that we'll end up with a fairly consistent group for each terms block so giving them chance to really grow in themselves, thier friendships and thier outdoor + life skills. It also gives them chance to shape the terms programme into what they want which is super exciting. 
Maps and Mountains this term. So today we explored, were map detectives, made our own orienteering course, played in the woods and planned the next sessions. Apparently we're going up a mountain!
