which

had a lasting impact

where were you - do you recall those events - most individuals do - and the impact on - their own lives - one act and how it both - brought a nation to - its knees and - also knit us together - as one for a - moment in time

i remember those days - and the aftermath - the ugliness and yet the beauty - of a people becoming - unified as one - taking a stand - against the wrongs and - the evils that exist - in our world - i remember thinking - maybe now will be - the time we truly - will recognize our - need for one another - and lean into the plan - abba designed for us - so long ago - the hope he created for - us as a creator redeemer - and grab hold of his - everlasting kindness and love - we grappled with it - for a mere moment - after those events - i felt hope

but as humans - we are stubborn so it - didn’t last long enough to take - we reverted back - to our old ways - stuck in old patterns - yet there was a taste - our country got - so as a christ follower - i have hope - it can still- come to pass - and that will be…
