Shades of virtue
DrD and I are both feeling a little virtuous after our morning's work.
I suggested he might like(haha) to give his side of the home office a birthday and he willingly complied cleaning it like an operating theatre from top shelf to bottom drawer, tossing many unwanted bits and pieces(books, book ends, old unfixable torch, papers(intermittent bonfires in the outdoor 44 gallon drum) and sundry bits and pieces for the op shop.
There are even a few gaps on the shelves!! A triumph.
Meanwhile I cleaned out and rationalised the contents of a suite of cupboards in the garage(that once upon a time were upstairs in the old kitchen) and held a miscellany of garden gear , surgical instruments("Don't throw those out . They all small and useful for fixing fiddly things in house and shed!") old and replacement light fittings, house washing gear etc.
I can now see my garden gear table top again, have cleaned and restocked all sprays and manures again, tossed out a cubic metre of obsolete bits and pieces and discovered some old folk art pieces that might be useful installed at Hermione Cottage at Lake Tarawera.
We're so pleased with ourselves!
After lunch a little knitting and these lovely tulips my view from the stitching cave.
