View from today's hill run with Cali at Ben Ledi near Callander.


At the top there is a striking cross and plaque which is a memorial to Sgt Harry Lawrie BEM who was killed in a helicopter crash whilst on a mountain rescue on Ben More in 1987. I remember the incident and think I was in another MRT at the time. One reason it sticks out is that I met Sgt Lawrie previously when I was taking a diabetic colleague up Ben Vorlich and handed in a route card to Sgt Lawrie as a precaution. Poignant.
