After a bit of a lean spell, I was spoilt for choice today. We had a great day out at RSPB Leighton Moss. In extras, there are Otters, an Osprey and Cattle Egret (complete with cattle). The one that got away was a Marsh Tit, but this Snipe - often a difficult to spot bird - sat atop this post for at least half an hour, including the time it took us to get from one hide where we first saw it in the distance, to the Eric Morecambe hide from where we got a much closer view.
