Staying awake
We arrived in Oslo early this morning after a 30 hour series of flights from Brisbane, Australia. We fought off drowsiness by walking around parts of the city centre (fine and sunny after a wet start) and visiting a couple of museums. The main photo is the Ibsen Museum, set in the apartment where playwright Henrik Ibsen and his wife Susannah lived from 1895.
The extra shows the large detour our Finnair flight between Singapore and Helsinki took to avoid war-torn Ukraine. The last time we flew roughly this route the flight took us directly over the Crimean Peninsula. That was shortly before the shooting down of Malaysian flight 17 in that area.
