How to grow food
Less than a month ago I photographed my friend’s new allotment .
Today we revisited it.
The transformation is amazing and all I could think was:" isn’t nature wonderful.”
Flowers and vegetables, seventeen different varieties so far, are flourishing thanks not only to her hard work but also to the very fertile soil, a product of regular flooding of the Allan Water.
The recent warm and wet weather has helped too.
Soon she hopes to start harvesting and enjoying the produce of her organic allotment.
What’s not to like?
