Exeter Ship Canal

I'd arranged to meet up with John in Exeter this evening. It seemed like a nice evening so I drove up early enough to take a walk down the canal. The light was lovely, I first saw a heron on the opposite bank. He's in as an extra. Further down there are a couple of derelict boats. One looks like it's sinking deeper but it's probably sitting on the bottom now.

I wandered back and met John who'd been doing the same thing but on the river side (the canal and river run parallel). We had a meal and a pint in The Prospect on the quayside.
