New camera

I joined a camera club today at the University of the Third Age.  I'm not sure how it will go.  It seems mostly to be doing technical stuff with photos you take with your phone and then photoshop them.   I do take blips with my phone at times, but I mostly use my camera. I did learn how to set up the day and date and location - something I wasn't able to do from the manual, but the class tutor helped me with that. Time will tell.  I did enjoy the company of the Thirdagers.  Three other people also joined the class today.  
My granddaughter started university on Monday, studying Criminal Justice.  We'll be able to console each other.
