Race Day

Started the day early, at 730 at the docks, we went to prepare the boat, the photo here is before the horn blew for the start of the race. everyone has to sail around just before the starting line, then blow a horn at 10 minutes, 4 minutes, 1 minute and starting horn, it is up to you to get the boat in position so that when the starting horn goes you are just crossing the line, if you start before the horn you must go back and cross the line again.

we did very well today. we broke the course record, sailing around the island at 2 hours and 13 minutes, we manage to take first place with a handicap of minus 50. we also got best over mono and mufti haul boat.

We were very pleased with the results, the team put in a lot of work coming up the race and it has paid off.
