Walk by the wild side
The Wild Chudleigh border I created backalong June 1st Blip has filled out & flowering beautifully, a late summer splash of cour, plenty of food for the critters, & I'm harvesting seed to give away. I posted on the FB Spotted Chudleigh page asking for any of the small plastic sweet? containers as they are perfect for seed mixes to give out if anyone would like some. The footpath gets busy as it's enroute to the primary school so plenty of foot traffic. As a result of posting on FB I received some lovely feedback.
A couple of hours spent on the plot early morning, picking some veggies for Josie who I met for coffee later at Jack's Patch, then I lifted the anemone corms, gave them a good wash, laid them out to dry in the sun before storing over winter.
Down to CK, walked Indie, made sure all was ticketyboo with Mum before nipping into Newton Abbot to pick up groceries at Asda. Twice now I've paid parking & forgotten to reclaim at the checkout. Drat! No cases of Magners cider... Double drat!!
Over to Bishopsteignton, a lovely catch up with Jos, her Mum had Alzheimer's so she knows what I'm dealing with. She's actually made enquiries on my behalf with the local council, & Devon Carers. She was very lucky, she & her brother dealt with everything together.
In the afternoon, I dealt with paperwork, found a couple of weekly wall planners that I'm going to see if I can get Mum to follow as her routine has gone awry. A very nice lady called Viv called me from Devon Carers, lots of notes made, she is following up on a couple of things available to me as a carer. So much to get my head around, so very grateful to have Jos as a friend.
