Looking Up

Brrh! Today it felt as if autumn had started before we've had a summer. So chilly and with a bitter wind, with only the occasional scrap of blue sky just to tantalise.

I walked into town this morning and took advantage of the lack of passers-by and traffic to step into the road to take this pic of Northampton's Guildhall, built 1861 in neo-Gothic style. They used to hold dances in the Great Hall years ago when I was a teenager. Now council offices, local government and registry offices are housed here.

It's a beautiful building I think and one of those where, if you remind yourself to 'look up', there's a lot more to be discovered.
