SPOTTY DOG

A few minutes after taking this photo on another quick circuit of the park, I met him and his owners, although I didn't get any names. They asked me what interesting things I've found to photograph in the park, and told me they've very recently moved to a house almost next to the park and it was the park that was a big reason for moving there. I'd just seen a little grebe (extra) which they weren't familiar with, and we'd all just watched a heron swoop in and land. I'll probably see them again - can't miss their lovely blue-eyed dog.

I always think of dalmatians as 'spotty dogs', having been brought up watching The Woodentops on Watch with Mother in the 1950s.
