Milano!

We were up early to take a taxi to Charles de Gaulle Airport. However the plane was delayed by almost an hour. It took us to Malpensa Airport which it turns out is about an hour's train ride to the central station. We reached our apartment at 4pm and were soon out discovering the delights of Milan. 
We are very centrally placed and it was only a 5minute walk to the Duomo which I have made my blip for today.The Piazza del Duomo is linked to La   Scala, the opera theatre, by the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele ll, full of the most expensive fashion shops imaginable.See extra.
We enjoyed a simple but tasty meal at Pizzeria Bio a stone's throw from the apartment. Now we feel we are on holiday!
We look forward to visiting the Duomo properly tomorrow.
