Late or Early Rhododendron!

Noticed this today.
Quite a few buds, too.

When this shrub has flowered in the past it has been amazing as it is huge! It’s not so huge now as someone gave it, shall we say, more than a trim. Not by me, I might add.

Perhaps it’s been very confused by the recent warm September weather.
