2023 Wednesday — Full Day

“What did you do today?” We played! and we played some more. We got sand on our toes and wind in our hair and two pups that are covered in beach.

We were up shortly after 6:00; on the sand before 8:30 (needed a cup of coffee and our reading before leaving the house). The guy parked next to us, came back to his truck with a halibut on his fishing pole. Said he’s waited a long time to catch a halibut but he did today. I said, “You’ve been out ‘catching’ not fishing!”

And then we walked and walked. Mr. Fun bumped into a beach friend, so he stopped to talk. After walking on the shore with Chloe, Mitzi, and Mr. Fun, we took a vote and unanimous was the decision for a stop to eat before returning to the house. We went to the loveliest garden restaurant in Cayucos — Lunada. A real treat.
