Hatfield House

Spent a lovely day with my WI ladies walking around the gardens and lake at Hatfield House before a lovely ploughman’s lunch :)

After lunch we had the most amazing guide show us round the Old Palace with a potted history of the Tudor reign.
The grand beamed hall where Elizabeth I held her first parliamentary meeting after hearing that her sister Mary had died was very impressive!!
