A Day In The Life

Shy

We have wild Black-eyed Susans but we never see the ones we planted in a flower bed zillions of years ago. You see our dear deer love them as much as we do; it’s the same with the echinacea. They begin nibbling as soon as shoots appear and the munching continues all summer long through fall • Except for this year • Suddenly they stopped nibbling last month (they directed their attention to backyard goodies) and with the rain we’ve had we now have six baby Black-eyed Susans. I’ve nicknamed them Suzy-Qs :)) They’re only a few inches tall but aren’t they the cutest?!? • We ticked off more items on the storm prep list, and what’s left will be decided on tomorrow after we see the latest forecast. Lee has weakened to a Cat 1 but its exact path is still influx, which ultimately determines how much we’ll be impacted. We certainly don’t need rain but the wind is our biggest concern • Peace & Love
