The Great ridge

I eventually managed to blip The Great ridge. Not in the golden hour though, maybe next time.

The Great Ridge separates the valley of Edale on your left and the Hope valley to the right. The lowest point is Hollins Cross. Before a church was built in Edale, coffins were carried across here to the church in Hope.

Mam Tor is the beginning of the Great ridge. It is the site of an Iron Age fort. Two lines near its summit are the visible remains.

I am stood on the top of Rushup Edge (my blip the day before yesterday). To my left and just out of site is the beginning of the Pennine Way. Overlooking the valley of Edale is Kinder Scout.
