Roses

I originally blipped a rose bud last Monday. Well that bud is now the deep pink rose in full bloom. I took this picture as it shows the stages of this particular rose from small bud through to the yellow rose and then it turns pink until it goes to the deep pink. Really enjoying watching this plant. I think last year I hadn't realised that all these roses were stages of the same flower.

In other news, I woke up this morning feeling achey from head to toe after my exertions yesterday (still don't regret it though!). So to ensure that I continue to feel achey we headed down the allotment for one last push to get it finished. I am pleased to say it is now complete. Every last available spot is now planted and the compost bin is now constructed. All we have to do now is keep on top of the weeds, water it and enjoy the fruits of our labour. Speaking of which, must dash to retrieve the strawberry and rhubarb crumble from the oven!
