Brantome

What a glorious day.
We drove to Brantome. A town we first visited about about 31 years ago. It hasn’t changed much. Still beautiful.
However on the way we stopped at a lovely little village called St Jean de Cole one of the Plus beaux villages de France.

A walk round the tiny streets, down to the river, with a look round an interesting pottery and also a small art gallery.
We loved this place. Especially the restaurant where we had the most delicious lunch. ( see photo) can’t remember the name of the dish, but it was a Spanish style seafood stew.
Finished off with café gourmand.

Weather perfect.
Sat out in the garden when we got back.
So peaceful. Just the sound of the birds, and for us a chilled glass of rosé.
