Full steam ahead

Backblip 9

Sadly, time to leave Suffolk straight after breakfast at our accommodation in Bungay. (How much fruit can one possibly eat for breakfast? We barely made a dent in the huge selection on offer!). A glorious day and we decided to see the sea on the way back.

We travelled east to Kessingland, then through Lowestoft and Gorleston, skirted round Great Yarmouth, and mostly followed the coast until we finally stopped in Sheringham. We found a quiet little cafe and sat outside in the shade for lunch - too hot to sit in the sun.

After a short stroll around the town and on the prom (extra) we set off once again, and before we'd gone far MrM spotted the train from the North Norfolk Railway at Sheringham steaming along to Weybourne. He found a safe place to stop the van and I jumped out and managed to take a couple of shots before the train crossed the bridge and disappeared from view.

We couldn't resist stopping off for a short time at Cley to stretch our legs, but mostly to buy provisions for a picnic on the way back from the excellent deli there.

Thereafter, we travelled inland and headed for home. A shame that MrM has to work tomorrow...
