Watch out

Mr nut did not like wearing short sleeved shirts at the beginning of summer, he missed the pictures on his long sleevies.

Around this time he also wanted a Spider-Man costume, one of the nylon ones that cost 15 quid.

So three weeks ago I thought I was pretty clever finding this t shirt.
'Here you go, I got you a costume' I said and the nut was delighted.

Only there were some slight problems. First, he wanted to put it on top of his clothes, like the costumes at nursery. I explained Spider-Man did NOT do this. The nut considered my argument and made the transition to short sleeves.

He was careful only to wear blue trousers, and either blue, or red, socks to complete his costume. When he went to the beach, he even wore blue pants so when he took off his trousers to play the illusion (of Spider-Man at the beach) was maintained. He even got dressed every morning all by himself without being asked.. Only...

he wouldn't wear any other t shirt. Just his Spider-Man jammies at night. His love for the costume ran deep. All attempts to get him to wear his other Spider-Man or transformer tshirts failed. I had to buy a spare to ensure a clean child

And then there was this conversation:
'Put your hat on'
'Spiderman doesn't wear a hat'
'Yes he does'
'I want a mask'
'Sunhat! No mask'

Then he asked to draw some eyes on his red robot cap. But this hat mask we found in the supermarket for fiver pounds fifty looks much better

ANOTHER BATTLE WON IN THE FIGHT AGAINST EVIL

Next episode: how I had to buy another hat so I could wash the first after 5 weeks continual wear and how the nut went to ed'n'bex wedding dressed as Spider-Man.
