LAS end of day 2
The day starts with a stonking keynote from Susanne Kaiser - Wardley Mapping + DDD + Team Topologies -> Architecture that supports rapid flow.
The excellent sessions are interrupted by a disappointing retro with the Agile Alliance team. We’ll have to see whether the board are more bought in to the distributed conference concept.
After the conference closes a few of us head to Luxburger for dinner. We’re greeted with the bizarre news that “unfortunately tonight we have no beef”. Not a problem - they have chicken, veg, and vegan burgers. The veggie option is a halloumi burger, which was really good.
Then it’s off to the Tipsy Midgie, where twenty conference friends from all over the world enjoy a night of Colin’s hospitality. Take a look at the whiskies he starts us off on (extra). These were followed by a few personal recommendations and ended with a drachm from his “infinity” bottle.
Along the way, Karl and friends even came up with a new sense making framework, whisky-nevin:
“Complex taste, complicated nose, simple taste and chaotic nose. Confusing water in the middle where you take a dip to go to the next whisky.”
