Coddled

Started the day with a visit from G’s girlfriend, out to add to the support crew. Sat for a while as a rain storm moved over and then finally headed out for a walk. We were on a limited time window so used that as an excuse to take the ski bubble lift higher up to the mountain. Walked from there up to a mountain refuge (more like a hotel), and popped in for a coffee. MrKT had visited this one in winter so gave me lots of unnecessary detail of routes that he had skiied.
Drove back down to our meet point and parked up ready for G. We are getting good at finding the best spots. Wrapped him up nicely and fed him - we were all able to join him for dinner before he had a lip.
The front runners have now finished the 330k at Courmayer - G is just over half way through. Phew.
