Sturdy dahlias
The town flowerbeds are still trying their best to keep colourful despite it being autumn. Over the years I have discovered that dahlias along with geraniums are some of the sturdiest and long flowering summer plants.
Thanks also to the many of you for commenting on my blipday yesterday. It just reiterated how lovely blippers are. So thank you again, it is much appreciated.
The rest of today will be taken up with packing for our cruise round the Aegean Sea, which sets sail from Piraeus, Athens on Sunday. We are flying to Athens tomorrow morning and were meant be staying in them Grand Hyatt hotel in the centre of the city. However, due to a botch by the cruise line, they forgot to organise the hotel which would have meant us sleeping on the floor of Athens airport tomorrow night. Thankfully, our travel agent has managed to get a hotel by the airport (the Hyatt was full), which the cruise line will pay for. Hey, not idea, but there are many worse issues in the world.
We have also been accidentally charged twice for the airport parking … technology! The price for the parking is exorbitant too, however, when questioned about it, they said it was ‘dynamic pricing’ … basically, another excuse to rip people off, which Edinburgh Airport are good at.
Anyway, have a great day all.
