Festival Sunday

Today is known as Festival Sunday, part of the ongoing West End Festival this month. Today, most of Byres road was closed to traffic for a big street party with stalls, music, dancing, so much in fact! There must have thousands of people out during the day in the beautiful sunshine, fantastic to see so many enjoying themselves. This blip is just of a small side street and it was packed so you just imagine what the main street was like!

Later in the afternoon there was also the annual Mardi Gras. Quite a spectacle of participants in the parade, including a couple of Chinese dragons which I really liked!

We shared a little tub of ice cream on the way home from a proper ice cream shop on Bryes Road. A scoop of pistachio and a scoop of bellini sorbet. So yummy!

We've had such a fun weekend! I've really loved being able to enjoy the city and the wonderful events it puts on!
