A stitch in time saves nine

I'm not going to save any hard work later by doing this embroidery sampler, but I will hopefully learn enough to allow me to make something more imaginative in the future. Right now I am low on imagination and high on time, being on enforced rest after surgery a week ago, so something like this is fine.

Went to see the nurses today for a check up. I am healing nicely, with some minor reservations. Phew! I asked if I could go to my local hospital or GP instead for the next check - shouldn't have bothered as I have been redirected from the GP to a separate care service (in the same building) that didn't answer their phone and are now closed till Tuesday. Fingers crossed I can get that sorted.
