Cobwebs

After taking P’s car in to be serviced we walked Kyoko who is still staying at my sister in law’s - we walked for nearly 3 mikes along some paths I hadn’t been on for a while . It was a glorious Autumnal morning with a beautiful light .
Not only were cobwebs lit up in the fields but we spotted an egret on a barn roof which was soon joined by a heron nearby . Then we were treated to hundreds of house martins congregating together then taking off in to the air ! They were settling in a tree and on telephone wires - incredible! Our house martins are still feeding a second brood of young - I worry for their long journey back to Africa.
